FACULTY

This course is taught by Sheila Gahan, DNS, FNP-C, Nurse Practitioner at Bassett Medical Center. Sheila has been Board Certified in both Family & Gerontology for over 30 years, in addition to being the first NP in the Mohawk Valley. Her scope of practice has included both inpatient and outpatient care, and she currently practices in the sub-specialty of pulmonary & sleep medicine. Ms. Gahan has been a preceptor for many nurse practitioner students in addition to being adjunct faculty professor at SUNY Poly. She has been a recipient of the AANP Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award, NY State. She has served as past Vice-Chair of Nurse Practitioner Association for Continuing Education (NPACE) and has been a guest lecturer at numerous nurse practitioner conferences. Sheila Gahan has disclosed no relevant financial relationships.
